Due to the recent resignation of Eric Hallman, Director of the Ag Health & Safety Program, and the non-renewal of several of the grants that supported various program activities within AH&S, the following changes are being made:
- The Ag Health & Safety unit will be dissolved as a unit within the Animal Health Diagnostic Center
- The New York Extension Disaster Education Network (NY EDEN) program will continue under the direction of Ellen Abend who will be moving over to Cooperative Extension within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
- The Farmedic training program will continue to be supported by the AHDC under the guidance of Ellen Abend while a search is conducted to find a new home for that program
- The new Farm Biosecurity Educator program will be developed and implemented as a joint project between Cooperative Extension and the NY State Department of Agriculture and Markets.
